七年之后、学成归来之时，他依然选择了北大光华教书育人、成就自己的学术之路。岳衡老师的主要研究兴趣是财务会计信息在资本市场的应用、公司治理、盈余管理等。他的文章发表在Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Accounting Studies, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, 《管理世界》,《金融研究》，《会计研究》等国内外顶级期刊上。岳衡老师曾先后获得香港科技大学奖学金、。他也曾是美国会计协会博士生联合会成员，并获得美国西南部财务协会最佳博士生论文奖。
